Fellowship With San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo Conservation in Education is a fantastic program that focuses on encouraging conservation in the classroom. I joined around 20 people from all across the country to learn about conservation in education, many of them being science teachers (as well as residing in California). Through hands on learning experiences by visiting the animals, many of the behind the scenes, we got up and close with the great conservation work that the San Diego Zoo does with animals and their habitats. We also visited the Conservation Education Lab and Eddy Family Outdoor Learning Lab to participate in a variety of field studies regarding conservation education.
What did i have to do to participate?
There was a simple application courtesy of Conservation Education at the San Diego Zoo. After about two months they announced that they were selecting me to attend the San Diego Zoo for an amazing week.
